It's hard to narrow down a set of photos - especially when it comes to bands as you want to showcase crowd excitement, movement, and emotion. You want a viewer of a still image to feel as if they're in the thick of the action. I think the images I chose from Little Bitches' performance in February at The Red Devil Lounge do that. It's been awhile since I've posted - but that doesn't mean I haven't been out and about taking photos or catching some great tunes in the Bay Area. In January - right before I moved to SF - I caught the Jake Morgan Band unplugged at Beale St Grill in SF. I've showcased 3 of my favorite images below and on Facebook. All were taken with existing light - I shunned flash as I wanted to emphasize the performers and get the background to drop out as well as get some purposeful blur. Let me know what you think!
